Ohmigoodness, can I just brag for a second about @featheredarrowevents like a proud mama? Kari and I worked on her branding together—she had a logo that she already loved, but was looking to create a more fleshed out brand identity that brought her business to life in a cohesive, professional way. Because friends, a logo only a branding DOES NOT make. So we talked colors that made our eyes twinkle, fonts to tell her story best, and illustration that was the perfect complement to her energy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The process doesn't end there, though, because there's nothing more useless than a branding you can't make your own. Haven't done a #fridayintroduction in a while, and there are some new folks here, so hi 👋 I'm Lisa, Owner and Artist here at Fiber & Dye. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I want to share with you my intention for 2019. Last year was a year of gaining confidence and resolve in my business as I struggled with imposter syndrome, calling myself an "owner" and "artist," and really showing up to do this crazy thing of running a full-fledged design studio. With the arrival of our first child in September, it became very clear to me that now is the time to go all in, because if I'm not in it, REALLY in it, I'm wasting not just my time but his too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So this year is going to be all about putting down ROOTS. Finding solid ground, rather than floating on the insecurity cloud. Settling into the new normal of working my ass off and being the most kick-ass mom I can be.
