A week late (i.e. right on time in my terms), but I kicked off 2017 with a new category on the shop. Downloadable Prints is where I'm going to be putting up both freebies and pay-to-prints, so I can launch more designs without worrying too much about printing costs and how I'm going to continue to finance production. Ha! The life of an entreprenuer, amiright? (still practicing to call myself that).
But as soon as I launched it, I was pretty excited about stroking my ego and like thinking to myself "ohmigod that was such a great idea, I even left the month blank because now people can like, DIY it because everyone LOVES to make their own shit, and this is going to be great!"
Then I get this text.
That's my sister, co-founder, secret creative director, and all around the best partner I could ask for in every aspect of my life. This is why she has the title that she does.
The power of ego is insane, it forces you to overlook even the most glaring mistakes because it keeps you busy patting your own back. I went and assumed that the conclusion I came to was the only logical answer because I like DIY, so does every one else. I'm providing this thing for free, and it's brilliant, and you're welcome. Aiya. Okay, let's try this again.
In addition to the printable calendar where you can make it your own, I am also going to be putting up on the blog a downloadable version that you can use on your phone--it's already done, easy to use. Just save the image onto your iPhone and it's ready to be your new wallpaper.
I've also included a quote version with the same pattern, so you can use the calendar for the lock screen, and the quote for your background--or vice versa!
Now every time you look at this, you can remind yourself that Lisa kind of fucked up on the whole ego thing, but she at least fixed it. And as we get into starting the new year, remember that you can just fucking do it, no matter what it is.
